1930s Erotica – Showgirl of the Week

A friend and I recently visited the Erotic Heritage Museum. It was her first time to visit the 17,000 square foot museum of everything erotic. So we spent a considerable amount of time meandering through the exhibits.

While downstairs, we stopped to look at the 1930s Erotica. We both appreciated the simplicity of the photos. The ladies weren’t doing anything dirty, and the photos today probably wouldn’t excite most people, but they were so beautiful.

I remember my grandma having photos similar to these around her house. They were all framed ornately and as a young girl I remember being so intrigued them. It’s funny to think that images so similar to what was hanging in my grandmother’s apartment are hanging in the Erotic Heritage Museum. Makes me think that maybe my grandma had a dirty side.
