KY Kissable Sensations

The other night I was partaking in one my guilty pleasures: The bachelorette – I know gasp! Anyway, while enjoying my trashy, girlie show, I was also taking in all the women-targeted commercials – maxi pads, birth control and KY. Over the past few months, KY has been promoting its His + Hers product, and the commercials are actually quite clever.

But on this particular night, KY was promoting its new product (at least new to me) called KY Kissable Sensations. I couldn’t find any of the commercials that I watched last night, but here’s the gist: KY claims that its KY Kissable Sensations will enhance foreplay (I’m guessing since it’s favored – “decadent chocolate and refreshing strawberry”) and “increase anticipation and desire for intimacy.” Well duh! Last time Ash and I played around with flavored lube, foreplay was definitely enhanced, and with all the tasting, licking and fruit infused oral, our anticipation for sex was definitely increased.

So I don’t necessarily think it’s KY’s lube that’s “increasing anticipation and desire for intimacy.” It’s lube in general, specifically the fact that a couple is using strawberry and chocolate flavored lube. It wouldn’t matter if it was the 99cent sampler at the adult super store or a 3oz. bottle of $16.99 Kissable Sensations.

Don’t get me wrong, anything that spices up couples’ sex lives is great in my book, and I’m willing to test out the product. Maybe it does have powers. After all, KY has done a lot for my sex life. So, I’ll let you know if Ash and I get our hands on the product and if it does in fact increase our anticipation and desire for intimacy to one another anymore than the other flavored lubes we have around.
