Proud to be a Rick’s Frequenter

The other day I was enjoying my little guilty pleasure. Before Ash woke up one morning, I got my cup of coffee, sat on the couch and turned on my TiVo to watch the most recent episode of The Hills. I know, gawk, gasp, judge now. I’m giving you permission because I am fully aware of how shameful it is. But whatever. I don’t subject anyone else to my guilty pleasure, and usually I don’t talk about it to anyone. That is until now.
The episode that aired last Tuesday nigaht (November 24th) Kristin and her friend Staci decided to take a girls trip and headed to Vegas. Unfortunately, Kristin couldn’t stand to be away from her LA drama, so she called her boy toy Justin to come play with her. The three of them decided to go to Rick’s Cabaret, a Las Vegas strip club. They were all drinking. The girls were getting lap dances. Everyone looked like they were having a good time.
Watching the episode made me really want to go to a strip club. Ash and I used to be almost-weekly frequenters of strip clubs, and the latest one was Rick’s. We had a few girls there that always treated us right and showed us a good time. But for the past few months, the only strip club we have visited has been The Velvet Lion. I’m not complaining. We always have a good time there. But it’s different. When we go to the Porn Star Tweet Intimate Encounters at The Velvet Lion, its definitely for fun, but we also go for the blog. We go to talk to porn stars. It’s not really to start a sexy party or have a good night just the two of us.
But when we go to a strip club just the two of us, it’s to get a little turned on and get the sexy party started. We drink, often times too much. A lot of times, we have great conversation together (I know that sounds weird, but it’s actually really true.) So, Ash and I decided it was time for just the two of us to get back to the strip club.
When we got to Rick’s I immediately asked if Brianna was still working for the club. She was our favorite there. She always treated us so well. She was a lot of fun to bullshit with before the dances commenced. She introduced us to Blueberry Stoli on the rocks with a cherry – one of the best strip club drinks ever – and she was a great dancer for both Ash and me.
Before Brianna got to us, another dancer who used to dance for us came and sat down. She totally remembered us – our names and everything. It was kind of crazy. We spent a considerable amount of time – and money – at this club, so being recognized by face wouldn’t have surprised me much, but being recognized by name, that’s pretty impressive. Ironically, I don’t know this particular girl’s name, but she has also given us some good dances, so after chatting and catching up for a few songs, she danced for us. First for me; then for Ash.
After she left, Brianna came over. We drank with her for quite a while, again just shooting the shit and catching up. She had asked us where we have been. I told her we just couldn’t afford it, but after watching The Hills episode, I decided it was time to get back to the club. Brianna knew about The Hills episode and about Kristin coming to the club. But Brianna told us that apparently Kristin didn’t have as good a time as she appeared to have on the show. Brianna told us that later that week Kristin went on The George Lopez show and bashed the club, the stripper and her experience. It sounded pretty bad.
Eventually Brianna danced for me. Just as good as I remembered. The next dance, she called over her friend Nutmeg, who danced for me while Brianna danced for Ash.
Ash and I went home and continued the sexy party there. It was definitely a good time! But after the festivities of the night, I decided to google Kristin Cavallari on George Lopez, and Brianna was right. She did bash her experience quite a bit:
Kristin basically called Rick’s a dump, but it’s actually a really nice club. It’s one of the nicest clubs we’ve ever been to, and we have visited a lot of clubs in Vegas. She also said that the dancer was not attractive. I don’t know who danced for her, but Brianna knew and said she was one of the prettiest girls in the club, and Rick’s has some really attractive girls. And in terms of getting molested in a strip club I doubt that happened. But, fyi, you’re a girl in a strip club – it’s kind of what goes on there. I don’t get it, especially the difference between how she looks on her show to what she says on George Lopez’s show. Kind of makes me think that maybe she did enjoy it, she was just embarrassed to say that on national television. But even if you are embarrassed, what did the girls or Rick’s in general do to make you trash talk that badly.
But whatever. To each his own. All I can say is I’m pretty proud that I can go to a strip club with my boyfriend and have a great time, and come home and have great great sex. Nothing to be embarrassed about here.
