Although my fantasy didn’t play out entirely like I had dreamed up, it was a great night.

Over the past year, I have met quite a few adult performers, and I have talked to them about how and why they got into the industry. I’ve asked about their dos and don’ts, and about the type of scenes they perform. But in all the conversations about the industry, I never really had a full grasp on what the job of an adult actor or actress entailed.

I knew enough to know that it’s not your typical 9 to 5 job. Hours are sporadic, jobs are probably sporadic. And on the female performers’ end, I would think there is a lot of preparation that goes into their job. That leaves out the whole ‘fucking on film’ part, and all those other details that comprise the actual job of an adult entertainer.

I think that even though everyone knows there is an adult industry, most people assume that it’s not really a profession. It’s just there to get people off. It’s not like the film or theatre industries where viewers discuss the sound, the lighting, the cinematography, the producer, director, etc. Porn is just porn. And honestly that’s some of the beauty of it – the fact that you’re not thinking but simply gaining so much pleasure out of it is a big part of the appeal of porn. But I wanted to see what it was like behind-th-scenes. I wanted to see what the job was really like when one is an adult performer, director, etc.

When I was making these plans, some of my friends had questioned, “Don’t you think this is going to ruin porn for you.” And to be honest, I knew this was a legitimate question. It was a question that was lurking in the back of my mind. I’ll admit that there was a time in my life – not too long ago – that I thought the adult industry was chock-full of perverts. Everyone on set, regardless of their role on or off camera, was getting sexually pleasured. I figured it was all just a big fuck fest but only half of it was caught on camera and paid for. I didn’t think it was legitimate.

But as I continued to meet, see and cover more and more people in this industry, I knew this theory just couldn’t hold up. I had met too many people in the adult industry that took their careers just as seriously, if not more seriously, as I take my career.

So I figured the only way I could know for sure what this aspect of the industry was like, was to go on set and experience and see it for myself…

This was the story: Liv had made an Amazon purchase, hoping that it would get to her before leaving the country. The purchase consisted of all Chelsea Handler’s books and Jenna Jameson’s book How to Fuck Like a Porn Star. Unfortunately, the package wasn’t getting to her before she left. Since she knew I recently read (and loved, by the way) Chelsea Handler’s My Horizontal Life she thought I might enjoy the books she ordered. So she told me to open the box to borrow and read whatever I wanted.

I had a mixed reaction, thankfully, Liv told me all this over email. First, I was shocked that she would order anything by Jenna Jameson. Second, I couldn’t help but think that maybe I was completely wrong about my asexual friend. Maybe she was totally sexual. Or maybe she wanted to be more sexual. I respect either way.

The package came today, and all Chelsea Handler’s books were there as well as two Jenna Jameson books, the surprise one being Something Blue: Jenna Tales Erotica for the Woman on Top with a “Bonus! Free Erotica Audio Story and Sex Tips!” Seriously I was pretty surprised and to be honest, I’ve never been more proud of my friend.

My one disappointment: Liv’s email said the one Jenna Jameson book she ordered was How to Fuck Like a Porn Star; however, when I opened the box and looked at the book, I realized that the book was called How to Make Love Like a Porn Star.

I have watched a lot of porn, and I don’t care how good the acting is, I haven’t ever thought, “Oh man. I want to make love like those to do.” I have however thought, “Man I want to fuck like they do.”

I’m sure that this had everything to do with the publishing house and the fact that this is the title of the book, but honestly, I think it’s a bit silly.

But as silly as it is, I’m still reading it, Jenna’s other book and the other Chealsea Handler books. Needless to say, in the next few weeks, I’ll be posting a few book reviews. And who knows, maybe Jenna can teach me a couple lessons on how to make love like a porn star. We shall see. Either way, I’m sure I’ll learn a few things!

For the past several months, Ash and I have had to clear our social and professional calendars on Thursday nights to attend the Porn Star Tweet parties at the Velvet Lion. But this is a never more event … at least at the Velvet Lion.

Due to some extremely unfortunate events the Porn Star Tweet Intimate Encounter and Naughty Tweet Live show are taking a brief sabbatical – leaving Ash and my calendar for Thursday nights totally open.

Thinking about this reminds me of the last PST party and NTL show we were a part of. It was quite possibly the biggest, yet I never posted about it. Crazy! I’ve been super lame, I know! Anyway – it was the night Alexis Texas starred and hosted.

Alexis is quite possibly the biggest porn star to be apart of these events and Ash and I were excited to meet and party with her.

Pete, founder of the Naughty Tweet Live Network, hosted the show and once again asked if I would co-host. Of course I obliged, but he told me I had to do some research – research on a porn star mind you, that’s got to be about the most comprehensive research I’ve ever done.

When Alexis arrived it was striking to me just how beautiful she was. I mean I’ve seen her “perform” and thought her body was killer and thought she was pretty. But seeing her fashionably attired, with her hair and make up done made me realize why so many people want to rip her clothes off and messy up that hair a bit.

The downside, however, was that I got nervous. Apparently, I’m not as confident when surrounded by such attractiveness.

The upside, my comprehensive research paid off. And Ms. Texas and I totally hit it off. In fact there were a couple times that we totally tuned Pete out, even while he was talking, to carry on our own side conversations.

I will admit, I was a little flushed and flustered being around her. I have only felt that way with one other porn star: Evan Stone.

After the Naughty Tweet Live show, Alexis drew in quite the crowd of both fellow porn stars and fans for her Intimate Encounter after party. Unfortunately, Ash and I couldn’t stay late. I couldn’t completely clear my calendar, but let me tell you, it was hard for us to say goodbye.

And who knew we’d be saying goodbye not only to Alexis Texas b ut also temporarily to the event. At least it went out with a bang – pun intended.

Here’s the statement according to Entertainment Daily:

Jesse James’ mistress Michelle McGee to dance topless at Las Vegas club

NEW YORK – The mistress of Sandra Bullock’s husband Jesse James is reportedly cashing in on her notoriety with a topless appearance at the Deja Vu Showgirls club in Las Vegas.

According to People magazine, Michelle McGee is set to sign autographs, pose for pictures, and dance topless at the club on Friday.

“We’re just cashing in on her celebrity right now,” the New York Daily News quoted Larry Beard, the club’s advertising and marketing director, as telling the mag.

McGee will be paid 5,000 dollars for the gig, plus tips.

Beard said he is expecting big crowds.

“There’s actually a group of tattoo enthusiasts that are all going to show up. She’s a dancer. This is right down her alley,” he said.

And Beard is unfazed by the outrage over McGee’s fling with James.

“Good publicity, bad publicity, it’s all publicity to me. I mean, I don’t expect Sandra Bullock to show up,” he added.

Turns out there was more sinin’ going on out side of Las Vegas last weekend, so the Sin City Sex Blog packed up and went to L.A.!

Everything about this trip was just awesome. Although the show ran from Friday to Sunday, Ash and I couldn’t take any time off work, so we left after work Friday night.

On our car ride, I started telling Ash about an iPhone photo app I had recently heard about called hipstamatic. It puts photos through different filters giving them vintaged looks. I thought it was pretty cool, but Ash wasn’t impressed, especially for the $1.99 price point (yes you read that right one dollar and ninety nine cents … Ash is a little cheap). But he ended up giving in, saying, “If it’s going to get you to take photos, go ahead and get it.” Btw, the reason he had so much pull with this decision is because his debit card is tied to my iPhone. So I kinda have to get his okay. Anyway – after all his bitching and moaning about how uncool this app is here’s how the photos of the weekend played out: I took about 20, Ash took about 400 all of them using the hipstamatic app. Needless to say, for the next couple days, we will be bringing you lots of visual coverage (in a very artistic style) of our time at AdultCon LA.

We got to our hotel, The O Hotel in downtown LA around 10:30pm and met up with Alyss Heart, Pete and Kris of Porn Star Tweet and some of their friends. Almost immediately I realized that the weekend was going to be crazy and I was excited to see how everything played out.

We spent the next few hours drinking and talking and going over the game plan for the following day. The great thing about the porn industry is it is full of partiers, so nothing (nothing that we’ve been to) starts very early. AdultCon started at 1pm on Saturday, giving us plenty of time to sleep in, grab some brunch and get on the road.

We met up with the gang Saturday morning at Ihop, and it was clear that not only had we missed a day of the show, we had also missed some inside jokes – including the penis game. I’m sure you know it. It seems like everyone knows it. One person says penis, and everyone else has to say it just louder than the person who said it before them. Needless to say, PENIS was spoken often and loudly! Get around a few porn stars or people who are just affiliated with the porn industry and some funny shit will most likely ensue!

And beyond funny shit, are the, what I like to call, extracurricular activities. We weren’t even past brunch before people in our group were getting drunk and high. It made for a fun day to say the least!

I can tell you it wasn’t planned at all. In fact, had it been planned, I would have worn something a little cuter, but lesson learned: always be dressed like you could be the co-host of a porn star Internet show.

Usually, I’m pretty calm when we’re talking to the porn stars, but I was actually really nervous the whole time, which is evident in the video. I keep scratching myself and fidgeting. It wasn’t really official that I was co-hosting either. It was more like Ash and I showed up at the right place at the right time. Pete and Alyss let us in the trailer and there we stayed during the show. So, even though I had questions for Jayla, I constantly felt like I might overstep my bounds by jumping in. So I was pretty quite the whole time, which isn’t normally my style.

But it couldn’t have been a better night to be in the Porn Star Tweet trailer. I say that because, Ash and I have met Jayla Starr numerous times. I think our first encounter was at the Velvet Lion when 20-year-old (at the time) snuck in and got wasted. We wrote a little about her here. The next few times we ran into each other was at AdultCon (you can read about it here and here) and possibly at AEE.

The Jayla is a little wild thing. She gets high all the time. She posts almost-nude – if not totally nude – photos of herself daily on twitter and she is constantly giggling. On the Naughty Tweet Live show, she was out going and witty. She could definitely hold her own with the king of quick wit, Pete. They were pretty funny together. But, unlike some of the Naughty Tweet Live porn stars, she wasn’t dying to take off her clothes. In fact, we went about 45 minutes and viewers were pleading through the live chat before she exposed her perky boobies – they are small but very nice!

After coming in contact with so many porn stars, it seems like every porn star has their “thing.” With Sophie Dee it was her ass. With Violet Monroe it was parody porn. With Katie Kox it was cuckold porn. They all have something. Jayla’s thing seemed to be the ladies.
